Lu Kong is an assistant professor in the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida’s School of Information Systems. Her teaching interests include operations management, quality management, data analytics, and business modeling.
Kong’s research broadly centers on operations management, with specific focuses on healthcare operations, nursing home management, online retail platforms, and social media platforms. She employs empirical research methods to address questions with both theoretical and practical significance. Her work has been published in leading journals including Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Service Science.
She earned her PhD in Operations Management and Master’s in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University.
