Jennifer Archibald is one of the most recognized names in the dance world, achieving notorietyas a choreographer whose award-winning creative body of work defies categorization. She isone of those rare choreographers whose work reaches audiences from the arenas to theconcert halls. Her aesthetic is rooted in hip hop, contemporary and commercial forms, thoughshe has gained career-defining success through her work with major ballet companies. She wasappointed the first female Resident Choreographer in Cincinnati Ballet’s 40-year history whereher blend of movement styles found new audiences and achieved new levels of critical praise. ​
Her work has been commissioned by major dance companies including the National Ballet of Canada, Ballet X, Ailey II, BalletMet, the Washington Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet West, GrandRapids Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet, Sacramento Ballet,Tulsa Ballet, Smuin Contemporary Ballet, and the Kennedy Centre’s Pathways to Performance program. She has worked commercially for NIKE, MAC Cosmetics, Tommy Hilfiger, as well aschart-listed artists, and has choreographed the opening for K-Pop Fan & Artist Festival’s annualconference (KCON) at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles on multiple occasions. She is thefounder and Artistic Director of the Arch Dance Company and Program Director of ArchCore40Dance Intensives. ​
Among her many academic achievements, she has been a Lecturer in Acting at the DavidGeffen School of Drama at Yale University for over 10 years and was appointed as a GuestFaculty Lecturer to develop the Hip Hop dance curriculum at Barnard College/ColumbiaUniversity. She is a graduate of The Alvin Ailey School and the Maggie Flanigan ActingConservatory and received her MFA in Dance from Jacksonville University.​
