Biography
Dr. Milton W. Wendland is a Professor of Instructor with a specialty in online education. He is currently a Jerome Krivanek Distinguished Teacher here at USF, and has recently published several pieces on effective online teaching and course design.
Outside of his USF duties, Dr. Wendland is a voracious bookworm who enjoys traveling to unusual places like the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Exclusion Area in Ukraine and the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania in Romania. In fact, his bio photo shows him in the Wadi Rum desert of Jordan on his phone coming up with new. He’s also an attorney at law and once handled a case in which a client left their house and property to thirty-seven cats.

Dr. Wendland also holds an MA in American Studies, an MA in Career & Technical Education, a Graduate Certificate in Women’s & Gender Studies, and professional certificates as both an End of Life Doula and an Animal Companion End of Life Doula. He’s currently working on a third MA degree in gerontology with a focus on LGBTQ+ aging.
